Climb Kilimanjaro Tanzania

Wild Tanzania Safaris offers exceptional hiking adventures to climb Kilimanjaro. Safety for climbing this iconic mountain is our highest priority.

Our licensed local guides are experts, experienced, and passionate about climbing and guiding travelers to the highest point in Africa. Our guides are certified Wilderness First Responders (WFR) and they are skilled in the treatment of altitude sickness. On the mountain,  we perform twice daily health checks on our climbers. Our guides are trained and know how to monitor oxygen saturation levels and heart pulses using Pulse Oximeter. Our guides are trained in First Aid techniques and Mountain Rescue. Our guides know how to administer Louise Scoring System(LLSS) to help determine whether you have symptoms of altitude sickness and their severity.

Our Kilimanjaro team carries bottled oxygen on all climbs and can administer it to quickly treat our climbers with moderate and serious altitude sickness. Our staff has the ability to initiate helicopter evacuation through Kilimanjaro Search and Rescue (SAR), this is a helicopter rescue operation. Our guides carry First Aid Kit all the time, while our staff carries a portable stretcher at all times to evacuate climbers who need to descend but are unable to walk on their own.
