ITINERARY DESCRIPTION:

DAY 1: Arrive in Arusha, Tanzania Africa.

Your safari driver-guide will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA). He will have a placard of your name. After greetings and introduction, you will board the car and drive to Arusha town for an hour up to your hotel or lodge.

Distance: 1 to 1.30 hours.

Overnight: Arusha Coffee Lodge or Mount Meru Hotel or Four Points Arusha Hotel.

DAY 2: Your safari starts from Arusha town to Tarangire National Park:

Distance: 2 to 2.30 hours up to Tarangire Park gate:

Safari drive: 4 to 6 hours. Depending on animal movements.

Enjoy 2 hours drive through the beautiful Maasai savannas and start to feel Africa. Visit Maasai villages. Enjoy your safari in Tarangire National Park, where the largest herds of elephants in Africa are seen. Tarangire savannas are characterized by Umbrella Acacias and ancient Baobab trees; where lions, buffalos, impalas, elands, oryxes, kudus, reedbucks, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, wildebeests, and many other animals will be seen.

Tarangire River itself attracts many animals. This park is also famous for having many birds; up to 500 species have been recorded. Tarangire will definitely be the highlight of your safari.

This luxury property is located on the east of the Great Rift Valley inside the Tarangire National Park. Experience nature on walking safaris with the local guides in the African bush and see many fascinating animals.

DAY 3: Tarangire National Park to Lake Manyara National Park to Gibb’s Farm Safari Lodge.

Distance: 3 to 5 hours. Depending on animals we see along the way.

After breakfast, we leave the camp and head to Lake Manyara National Park. Expect to see many monkeys, bushbucks, elephants, giraffes, hippos, flamingos, pelicans, and many other aquatic birds. The legendary tree-climbing lions can rarely be seen in this park. On lucky days this would be the greatest sighting ever!

Overnight: Gibb’s Farm Safari Lodge: Ngorongoro crater highlands.

This luxury lodge is characterized by lush and rolling hills, fresh air, and fresh food. Gibb’s farm is one of the oldest coffee estates in Africa and it is still working. This Lodge won Travel + Leisure World’s Best List #1 African Safari Lodge for consecutive two years. It is offering farm – to – table dining, luxurious rooms, and spa services. Other activities here will be cycling, coffee tours and nature walks.

DAY 4: Gibb’s Farm Safari Lodge to Ngorongoro Crater Descent then to Serengeti National Park:

Distance: 7 to 11 hours. Depending on animals we see and how satisfied are you. 

We leave the lodge early in the morning, heading to Ngorongoro Crater. We do a safari in the crater. On this day you will explore one of the natural wonders of the world. This beautiful caldera is like a gem, it is characterized by breathtaking scenery and many animals. There are more than 25,000 animals living permanently in the crater; including lions, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, wildebeests, cokes hartebeests, hyenas, jackals, crowned cranes, gazelles, and the rarest black rhinos... to mention just a few.

3 to 4 hours will be enough to discover the iconic Ngorongoro Crater. After the safari, we will ascend the crater and drive to the world’s most famous national park, the Serengeti. We do safari en route while heading to the camp.

Overnight: Siringet Serengeti Camp.

This is a luxury tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti, where millions of animals will be nearby. You will feel the true taste of African safari. At night you will hear lions roaring in the distance.

DAY 5: Serengeti to Serengeti.

Safari drive: 7 to 9 hours. Depending on animal behavior.

We take our packed lunch and spend the whole day exploring the Serengeti. We start early in the morning. Our mission is to find the big cats (lions, cheetahs, and leopards), the Great Animal Migration – millions of wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, gazelles, and many other animals. Wildlife in Serengeti is abundant. Serengeti has more than 3,000 lions, the highest population of lions in Africa.

DAY 6: Departure. Fly out of the Serengeti to Arusha or Zanzibar.
