There are no lions in  Arusha National Park. Elephants in this park are very shy because of the dense tropical forests. This park is ideal for climbing Mount Meru which takes up to 4 days. This park is very beautiful for walking safaris and is one of the best parks to see up to 400 species of birds, including rare forest birds such as the Bar-tailed Trogon. The legendary crowned eagle, a.k.a  "leopard of the sky" can be seen in this park. The crowned eagle is one of the most powerful eagles in the world, it hunts small antelopes and monkeys which are surprisingly four times bigger than its size.

Arusha National Park borders Mount Kilimanjaro, so it is between Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. Safari to this park offers incredible scenery of the two mountains.
