ITINERARY DESCRIPTION:

DAY 1: Arrive in Arusha, Tanzania Africa.

Distance: 1 to 1.25 hours.

Your safari driver-guide will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA). He will have a placard of your name. After greetings and introduction, you will board the car and drive to Arusha town for an hour up to your hotel or lodge.

DAY 2: Your safari starts from Arusha town to Tarangire National Park and then head to Tarangire Oliver’s Camp:

Distance: 2 to 2.30 hours up Tarangire Park Gate.

Safari Drive: 4 to 6 hours, depending on animal movements. 

Enjoy 2 hours drive through the beautiful Maasai savannas and start to feel Africa. Visit Maasai villages. Enjoy your safari in Tarangire National Park, where the largest herds of elephants in Africa are seen. Tarangire savannas are characterized by Umbrella Acacias and ancient Baobab trees; where lions, buffalos, impalas, elands, oryxes, kudus, reedbucks, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, wildebeests, and many other animals will be seen.

Tarangire River itself attracts many animals. This park is also famous for having many birds; up to 500 species have been recorded. Tarangire will definitely be the highlight of your safari.

DAY 3: Tarangire Oliver’s Camp to Chemchem Safari Lodge.  

Distance: 1 to 3 hours. Depending on animals we see along the way.

Enjoy en route safari in Tarangire while you are heading to Chemchem Safari Lodge to the west of Tarangire national park. Enjoy walking safaris; see many animals and get a chance to cultural interactions with the local tribesmen. Chemchem Safari Lodge is a luxury property. After all activities, you can just take it easy and relax at the lodge.

DAY 4: Chemchem Safari Lodge to Little Chemchem Lodge. 

Distance: 40 minutes to 1 hour.

This will be a good day to enjoy horse safari in the morning, and experience the night safari where you will see some nocturnal animals such as bushbabies, spring hares, honey badgers, zorillas, aardvarks, and porcupines, to mention just a few… It will be a mixture of activities and relaxation.

DAY 5: Little Chemchem Lodge to Lake Manyara National Park and then head to Gibbs Farm Safari Lodge.

Distance: 4 to 6 hours.

After breakfast, we leave the lodge and head to Lake Manyara National Park along the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy safari drives and expect to see many monkeys, elephants, giraffes, bushbucks, hippos, flamingos, pelicans, and many other aquatic birds. The legendary tree-climbing lions can rarely be seen in this park. On lucky days this would be the greatest sighting ever!

DAY 6: Gibb’s Farm Safari Lodge to Gibb’s Farm Safari Lodge.

Distance: 1 to 3 hours. Depending on activities and relaxation at the lodge. It is flexible.

Enjoy walking safari in Ngorongoro crater mountain forests and explore "elephant caves’’ mineral licks. Watch many colorful birds and get a chance to see shy forest animals. Enjoy the coffee tour, see vegetable farms, and visit the village of Irakwi tribesmen to learn more about their traditional ways of life. After finishing your trips, relax in your eco – friendly cottage set in the farm’s lush gardens. Enjoy an outdoor shower, in-room spa treatment, farm – to – table dining, and learn local culture from the local staff.

DAY 7: Gibb’s Farm Safari Lodge to Yaeda Valley.

Distance: 1 to 2 hours.

After lunch, we drive heading to Eyasi village. We explore the remotest wilderness areas of Yaeda Valley near Lake Eyasi, the home of Hadzabe tribesmen. This day can be flexible, you can visit Datoga people and go to the lodge to relax. Hadzabe and Datoga are among the fewest tribes in Africa who still live their prehistoric ways of life. The Hadzabe tribesmen are hunter-gatherers. Activities in this area include to go hunting and trekking with the Hadzabe tribesmen and practice their survival skills. And another authentic tribe is the Datoga tribesmen. These nomadic pastoralists have an interesting and unique culture waiting for you to explore.

DAY 8: Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge:

Distance: 4 to 7 hours.

This will be a good day to start early in the morning and go hunting with the Hadzabe tribesmen, practice their survival skills and learn about their interesting prehistoric ways of life. Visit the iconic Datoga people and explore their interesting traditional ways of life. Enjoy bush breakfast and bush lunch.

This luxury lodge is located on the edge of the world-famous “World Heritage Site” of the Ngorongoro Crater. Surrounding the lodge; the Ngorongoro Conservation Area spans 8,300 square kilometers, stretching from the Rift valley to the Serengeti. The design follows the Maasai mud – and – stick Manyatta (homestead). It has very beautiful views of Ngorongoro Crater from your luxury cottage. This property is one of the most luxurious safari lodges in Africa.

DAY 9: We leave the lodge in the morning; we head to Ngorongoro Crater then to Serengeti National Park.

Distance: 3 to 4 hours safari in the Crater. And then from the Crater to Serengeti, the distance is 4 to 5 hours, depending on animals we see along the way. 

We descend in the crater and do a safari. On this day you will explore one of the natural wonders of the world. This beautiful caldera is like a gem. Explore the soul of Tanzania characterized by iconic wildlife, breathtaking scenery, and spectacular contrasts. This caldera is full of thousands of animals living there permanently. There are more than 25,000 animals in the Crater; including lions, zebras, buffalos, hippos, wildebeests, cokes hartebeests, hyenas, jackals, crowned cranes, gazelles, and the rarest black rhinos... to mention just a few.

3 to 4 hours will be enough to discover the iconic Ngorongoro Crater. After the safari, we will ascend the crater and drive to the world’s famous national park - the Serengeti. We do safari en route while heading to the camp or lodge. But we have an option here, in order to easy the long driving distances, after the safari and leaving the Ngorongoro Crater, we can fly out of Manyara Airstrip to Serengeti national park, but this will depend on the location of the Great Animal Migration in the Serengeti. We will advise you.

DAY 10: Serengeti Namiri Plains Camp to Serengeti Namiri Plains Camp. 

Distance: 6 to 10 hours. Depending on animal movements.

This luxury tented camp is located in the heart of the Serengeti where millions of animals are close. In the Serengeti Park, you will explore the soul of Africa; characterized by millions of migrating animals, vast savannas, a high population of the big cats, exceptional landscapes, and the most iconic wildlife in Africa. At night you will hear lions roaring in the distance.

We take our packed lunch and spend the whole day exploring the Serengeti - Africa's premier wildlife safari destination. We start early in the morning. Our mission is to find the big cats (lions, cheetahs, and leopards), the Great Animal Migration – millions of wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, gazelles, and many other animals. Wildlife in Serengeti is abundant. Serengeti has more than 3000 lions, the highest population of lions in all African parks.

DAY 11: Serengeti Namiri Plains Camp to Singita Mara River Tented Camp: 

Distance: 7 to 11 hours. Depending on animals we see along the way.

Singita Mara River Tented Camp is a luxury tented camp famed for its perfect position on the Mara River in northern Serengeti. Enjoy the annual Great Animal Migration on safari drives and romantic stargazing safaris deep in the Serengeti savannas. This experience is amazing and unforgettable.

DAY 12: Singita Mara River Tented Camp to Sayari Camp

Distance: 5 to 9 hours. Depending on animal behavior.

We are still in northern Serengeti. Your Great Migration Safari continues to Sayari Camp. This luxury permanent tented camp has a very good position near the Mara River. It offers the best chances to witness the Great Animal Migration crossing the famed Mara River and crocodiles in actions.

DAY 13: Serengeti to Zanzibar Matemwe Lodge:

After breakfast, you will have a leisurely short drive to Serengeti airport.

Fly out of Serengeti National Park to Zanzibar Island.

Zanzibar is an island of Tanzania. It is famous for its white-sand beaches, beautiful and relaxed ocean views, spice-scented air, and secluded, blissful bungalows of Matemwe. This makes the best tropical maritime paradise and the conclusion of your unforgettable Great Migration Safari and Zanzibar retreat.

You will spend 3 days on the Island and activities will be:
