ITINERARY DESCRIPTION:

DAY 1: Arrive in Arusha Tanzania, Africa.

Your safari driver-guide will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA). He will have a placard of your name. After greetings and introduction, you will board the car and drive to Arusha town for an hour up to your hotel or lodge.

DAY 2: Your safari starts from Arusha town to Tarangire National Park and then head to Tarangire Oliver’s Camp. 

Distance: 2 to 2.30 hours up to Tarangire Park Gate:

Safari drive: 3 to 6 hours.

Enjoy 2 hours drive through the beautiful Maasai savannas and start to feel Africa. Enjoy your safari in Tarangire National Park, where the largest herds of elephants in Africa are seen. Tarangire savannas are characterized by Umbrella Acacias and ancient Baobab trees; where lions, buffalos, impalas, elands, oryxes, kudus, reedbucks, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, wildebeests, and many other animals will be seen.

DAY 3: Tarangire Oliver’s Camp to Little Chemchem Safari Lodge.

Distance: 2 to 3 hours: Depending on animals we see along the way.

Enjoy en route safari in Tarangire while you are heading to Little Chemchem Safari Lodge to the west of Tarangire National Park. Enjoy walking safaris; see many animals and get a chance to cultural interactions with the local tribesmen. Little Chemchem Safari Lodge is a luxury property. After all activities, you can just take it easy and relax at the lodge.

Enjoy night safari experience and get a chance to see rare nocturnal animals such as bushbabies, honey badgers, zorillas, aardvarks, and porcupines, to mention just a few… It will be a mixture of activities and relaxation.

DAY 4: Little Chemchem Safari Lodge to Ngorongoro Manor Hotel.

Distance: 4 to 7 hours.

After breakfast, we do a horse safari. After horse safari, we drive through Lake Manyara National Park along the Great Rift Valley for a short en-route safari. Expect to see aquatic birds such as flamingos, pelicans, geese, ducks, herons, ibises, and so many other species. There are many giraffes, elephants, monkeys, hippos, to mention just a few... The legendary tree-climbing lions can rarely be seen in this park, on lucky days this would be the greatest sighting ever!

Step back in time to an age of grandeur. After crossing the Great Rift Valley and climbing the mountainous region onto the green and rolling hills south of the Ngorongoro crater, there lies a truly undeniable surprise and one that will be home – away – from – home.

The Ngorongoro Manor Hotel has luxurious cottages; and it is one of the first safari lodges of its kind to blend East African hospitality with old-world Afro – European architecture and décor. It has tropical gardens, lush surroundings, and huge coffee estates.

DAY 5: Manor Hotel to Ngorongoro Crater for safari then we take a short flight to Serengeti Legendary Mwiba Lodge.

Distance: 4 to 6 hours. We leave the lodge early in the morning, heading to Ngorongoro Crater. We do a safari in the crater. On this day you will explore the most dramatic geological feature in the world. This beautiful caldera is a gem. And it is full of thousands of animals, living there permanently. There are about 31,000 animals living in the crater, including lions, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, wildebeests, cokes hartebeests, hyenas, jackals, crowned cranes, gazelles, and the rarest black rhinos... to mention just a few.

2 to 3 hours will be enough to see the beauty of the Ngorongoro Crater. After safari here, we will ascend the crater and drive to Manyara Airstrip to fly to the world’s most famous national park, the Serengeti. Flight: 30 minutes.

After some exploration activities, we fly to western Serengeti within the lush Grumeti Reserves. Singita Serengeti House provides a hidden retreat for families to indulge in private and exclusive safari activities. Enjoy horse safaris, safari drives on open cars, walking safaris and child – friendly archery, baking, butterfly identification, and mini ranger programs.

DAY 7: Singita Serengeti House to Singita Serengeti House.

Safari drive: 5 to 9 hours. Depending on animal behavior.

Another day for more safari activities, enjoy wildlife viewing, and explore more areas of western Serengeti.

Day 8: Singita Serengeti House to Serengeti Mkombe’s House.   

Distance: 5 to 10 hours depending on animals we see along the way.

This property is located in the Lamai region of the famed northern Serengeti, not far from Mara River. It offers excellent safari drives, nature walks, bush picnics, and sundowners. Families staying at Mara River Tented Camp really feel at home. 

DAY 9: Serengeti Mara River Tented Camp to Serengeti Mara River Tented Camp

Safari drive: 5 to 9 hours, depending on animal movements.

Spend the whole day or half-day safari as you wish. Go deeper into northern Serengeti. Explore the annual Great Migration and see the big cats.

DAY 10: Departure.
